RTR Calibration – Operability Based ECM Tuning (Non-Performance Use)

RTR Calibration – Operability Based ECM Tuning (Non-Performance Use)

$2,999.00

RTR (which stands for “Right to Repair”) calibrations are designed solely to restore machine functionality when emissions components are unavailable, non-functional, or economically unreasonable to replace.

These calibrations are not intended and cannot be used to increase performance and or emissions—and in some cases may reduce them. These calibrations are not intended to defeat emissions components for extended periods of time and are ONLY to be used in instances where machine operability is forced to cease as a result of component failure and lack of availability and or excessive cost to restore the machine to operational status. Customer assumes all legal responsibility and confirms they have consulted relevant laws and their own independent legal counsel before purchase.

Purpose-Built to Restore Operability—Not to Boost Power

RTR Tuning exists to support customers in keeping their machines running when emissions components (like DPFs, EGR valves, or SCR systems) are unavailable, discontinued, or too expensive to reasonably justify replacement. Our calibrations are designed to minimize emissions and engine load under these failure conditions—not to increase performance or bypass clean air requirements without cause. These calibrations are developed exclusively to restore minimal-operability in non-road, emergency, or limited-use scenarios. In many cases, when a machine would otherwise enter limp mode or cease functioning altogether due to a failed emissions system, our calibrations provide a way to keep it running at a safe, reduced-load operating profile.

Purpose-Built to Restore Operability—This Product is NOT INTENDED TO INCREASE PERFORMANCE

RTR Tuning exists to support customers in keeping their machines operational when emissions components—such as DPFs, EGR valves, or SCR systems—are:
  • Unavailable or on national backorder
  • Permanently discontinued or obsolete
  • Too costly to reasonably justify replacement
Our calibrations are developed specifically to:
  • Minimize emissions and engine load under failure conditions but keep the machine in operable status so that your work can continue while you wait for replacement components to become available and or be more cost effective in your operation
  • Avoid increasing performance or fueling beyond factory safe limits
  • Restore basic, limited-use operability for non-road, emergency, or restricted-use equipment
In many cases, a machine may otherwise enter limp mode or cease functioning altogether when emissions systems fail. RTR calibrations provide a way to:
  • Maintain safe and efficient engine operation
  • Prevent unplanned downtime during critical use
  • Allow continued use of equipment when no viable and or no reasonable repair path exists

Our Intent is Emissions-Conscious, Not Emissions-Free to keep our American Businesses operational and creating the environment we all live in without sacrificing machine and or component integrity

We do not believe responsible operability must come at the expense of environmental protection. RTR calibrations are not built to defeat emissions requirements arbitrarily—they are engineered to maintain order and safety when emissions equipment is already non-functional and unavailable for repairs to be made.   We do NOT:
  • Purposely increase fueling or timing for power gains
  • Calibrate for horsepower or torque enhancement
  • Enable competitive racing or high-load tuning
We DO:
  • Keep fueling conservative to avoid excessive soot
  • Strive to maintain combustion efficiency while sensors are offline
  • Help prevent smoke, hesitation, or unsafe engine operation due to emissions system failure
Our aim is to avoid worse outcomes, including:
  • Dangerous operating conditions
  • Equipment abandonment or scrappage
  • Excessive pollution from improperly running machine level components

Why We Believe This is Lawful and Responsible (this is not intended to be nor can this be relied upon as legal advice)

RTR Tuning operates under a philosophy of compliance, not circumvention. We believe the public interest is best served when:
  • Machines critical to agriculture, construction, and industry are allowed to continue functioning safely while machine critical components become available from manufacturers
  • Consumers are empowered to make informed decisions about their equipment under challenging circumstances
  • Repair and operability are prioritized without encouraging emissions increases or environmental harm
Given our research we believe that:
  • Customers have a fundamental right to repair machines they own
  • These calibrations serve a practical, non-performance-driven purpose when emissions parts are:
    • Unavailable
    • Backordered
    • Uneconomical to replace
  • Our work supports limited-use of machines, especially where parts shortages or logistics failures make compliance temporarily impossible
  • This is not an attempt to exploit a “loophole,” but to honor the spirit of emissions laws—preserving air quality while ensuring public safety and machine uptime

Legal Use, Customer Responsibility

By purchasing this calibration, you agree and acknowledge that:
  • You have reviewed all applicable local, state, and federal laws related to emissions and equipment modification
  • You have consulted with independent legal counsel on your own before purchasing and certainly before installing any product we sell (especially this one)
  • You understand this is not legal advice, and no guarantees of legality or compliance are offered when you purchase any product we sell (again, especially this one)
  • You are solely responsible for how, where, and on what equipment this calibration is used and any outcome of its use and agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any and all penalties, damages, and or fines of any kind related to your purchase or use of our products (you guessed it…especially this one)
  • This calibration is a functionality fallback ONLY, intended to temporarily restore machine operability—not to modify emissions systems for performance or recreational use
RTR Tuning was built on a belief that the Right to Repair and the public good are not mutually exclusive. Our calibrations reflect a responsible middle ground: enabling functionality without compromising safety, honesty, or environmental stewardship.
